Amy W. Gemperli, M.D.

Dr. Amy Gemperli has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Kansas City since 1997. She has been both in private practice as well as an assistant professor at the University of Kansas Medical Center.

Dr. Gemperli was raised in Kansas City. She completed her undergraduate degree at Wellesley College in Boston, Massachusetts and earned her medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. After an internship in internal medicine at Truman Medical Center and St. Luke’s Hospital, she completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center. She then did a fellowship in glaucoma at the University of Illinois in Chicago. She has been board certified since 1998.

Dr. Gemperli is active in many professional organizations, including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, Kansas City Society of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology, and the Missouri Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. She is married with two children, and enjoys spending time with her family and horseback riding in her leisure time.

Dr. Gemperli’s clinical interests include glaucoma, cataract surgery and cosmetic procedures.
