Caroline M. Chang, M.D.
Dr. Caroline Chang is a board-certified ophthalmologist who joined Heart of America Eye Care in January 2016. She has been practicing in the Kansas City area for over 20 years. Dr. Chang specializes in comprehensive ophthalmology, seeing patients with medical conditions such as glaucoma, diabetes and cataracts, and providing complete eye care for adults and children. She performs minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and no-stitch cataract surgery with topical anesthesia and options for toric and multifocal intraocular lens implants.
Dr. Chang grew up in Houston and was valedictorian of her high school class as well as a National Merit Scholar. She attended the University of Texas at Austin on a full academic scholarship as one of six Texas Scholars and graduated with honors. She received her M.D. from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, then completed her ophthalmology residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Chang is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and participates in the recertification process. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Chang enjoys skiing, cooking, travel and spending time with her family.
