Laura J. Brammer, O.D.
Dr. Laura Brammer joined Heart of America Eye Care in August 2011. She provides primary eye care, contact lens fittings, low vision rehabilitative services, dry eye consultations and co-management of cataract and refractive surgery patients. She sees patients at the Shawnee Mission office and is dedicated to quality eye care in a friendly, professional environment.
Dr. Brammer grew up in the Shawnee, KS and attended St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School and Shawnee Mission Northwest High School. She received her bachelor’s degree in 2007 from Kansas State University and her Doctorate in Optometry in 2011 from University of Missouri St. Louis. While in school, she received the Kansas Board of Regents scholarship from 2008-2011 and was a member of the Gold Key Honor Society and Beta Sigma Kappa Honors Society. Her clinical internships were completed at the Kansas City Veterans Administration Hospital in Kansas City, MO and at the Chickasaw Nation Hospital in Ada, OK. She is a current member of the American Optometric Association and Kansas Optometric Association.
Dr. Brammer resides in Overland Park, KS with her husband and three children. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending local KC and K-state sporting events, and traveling abroad.
