Dr. Kwapiszeski (Dr. K) is the most thorough, and detailed, ophthalmologist I’ve ever experienced, concerning my eye care. He takes the extra time to examine (and then re-examine) your concerns, to diagnose any issue methodically (and he’ll get it right)! He’s a serious guy, but he’s genuine, and will take the time to answer all your concerns (in great detail). There’s a reason why Dr.K is known as one of the top eyecare physicians in the field. If you’re looking for someone who’s got the answers, look no further than Dr.K. The only critiques, I can consider, is that his intellectualism can be intimidating (and over my head), and landing an appointment, can take several weeks (at no fault of his own). He’s very popular, and sought after (in the community), but, he’s well worth the wait! In my opinion (and I research, to find the best physicians) he’s the best ophthalmologist, in the KC Metro region. More

A medical condition forced me to do a walk-in w/o a prior appointment. Dr. Ciccio worked me in without any hesitation. She diagnosed my problem and listened attentively to my concerns. I would highly recommend her to anyone. More

Great for an eye exam to lasik. Prices for contacts are comparable to costco. Waiting room waits can be up to 10 minutes. Office is on first floor and newly renovated. Take most vision plans. Parking is close and relatively open. More

I am so glad to find her as my eye doctor. For the last 10 years I thought I had glaucoma because of the misdiagnosis by inexperienced doctors. Dr. Chang found that my D/C ratio was above normal range not because of glaucoma but long time near sightedness. She didn't ask me to do unnecessary extra vision field test like other doctors costing extra money. This saved my time and money probably most other people also care about! More

I recently got an eye exam here along with my 10 year old son. The fresh new office looks great. Frontdesk was a little harsh but polite. Techs and Dr. Cline were super nice and helpful. My son even mentioned that he wasn't nervous anymore after they helped him with a thorough exam too. I ended up getting getting a new pair of glasses in the end. The optical department was also thorough and helpful. I've gone back for a fitting tweak without any fanfare. I am glad we tried this office and will be happy to go back or recommend anyone to try them. More

I came here because I had a really serious eye concern. I went in with a lot of anxiety and left feeling much better. The woman who took us back and did my medical history (I think her name was Melanie) was unbelievably kind and caring and made me instantly feel at ease. I’ve had really bad experiences with eye care places and she was so incredibly nice and thorough and just acted with so much empathy and kindness. Dr. Erker was also extremely nice and made me feel better about the situation and answered all of my questions. It’s unfortunately really rare to find a place with such good service from medical professionals where it actually feels genuine and like they care about you. It was years ago that I first had Dr. Brammer rescue me from an eye predicament, but as it was a distance to schlep to for me, I chose a practice closer to home. After a 'sour experience' from my cataract surgery elsewhere, I decided to return to Mid-America Eye Care and Dr. Brammer! She is so different from the opthomologist I ran from! She is compassionate, knowledgeable, and smiles!!! The office staff I find to be a nice blend of professional and friendly!! The last office was like a conveyor line in a factory! They were too quick with my eye measurements for one eye and the second cataract staff person was too slow making me doubt the abilities of both!!! I felt none of that factory experience here! I met with Dr. Edwards, too, who was equally pleasant to deal with. I'm back!! Forget the greater distance to travel!! More

I have seen Dr. K for nearly 20 years. Because of severe myopia, I have always seen an ophthalmologist rather than an optometrist. He recently did cataract surgery on both my eyes with excellent, almost life-changing outcomes! I was impressed with the surgical process, attention to detail and the care pre-during-post surgery. As part of the post-surgical care I have been seeing Dr. Stephanie Erker and have been equally impressed with her - she spends the time necessary to answer your questions and has a warm, cordial personality. I've been going to Dr. Brammer for about 4 years, and I've been very pleased with her care. The reason for the 4 stars has nothing to do with her. It is the front desk staff. When I went to my appointment on February 14, the dark haired girl that checked me in acted like she would rather be anywhere else but there. She was very curt and acted like I was an interruption. Pam, the technician, was very sweet and very welcoming. I have never had any problems with my phone calls not being returned, but my husband tried to call multiple times for an appointment and no one returned his calls. More

Have been going here for a very long time. After Dr. Simone left the practice I began seeing Dr. Brammer and she's been great. I would give 5 stars except for my recent experience with ordering contacts. I ordered a 6 month supply and chose to have them delivered to my home. They didn't arrive when I expected so I called the office to get the tracking number and spoke with Jessica, who gave me the UPS tracking number and said the contacts were delivered one day earlier. As I was out of contacts by then, I went up to the office to pick up some trials, called my apartment complex office, spoke with neighbors to look for the missing package, and nothing could be found. Spoke with Jessica again who said I needed to open up an investigation with UPS for the missing package so I did that. I also went ahead and ordered even more contacts since I needed them and it sounded like this investigation was going to take a while. Later that evening, the package of contacts shows up at my door from USPS, not UPS. Would have saved me a lot of trouble had I been given the correct tracking number in the first place! Arg. More

I have been going to Dr. K since 1993. I have recommended many people to his office. Most of my family and extended family as well as friends now go to him. He is exceptional in my view. I moved my elderly mother (now deceased) to him. She was so happy she wouldn't think of going to anyone else. She had glaucoma and had some issues with drops covered by her insurance. He went above and beyond to make sure she was comfortable and able to use the drops needed. He went to the extent of writing letters to her insurance company to get her approved for medicines not covered. His staff is outstanding and very accommodating. More

Wow, I can't understand any negative reviews for Dr. Cline. I've seen her for a few years now and even began taking my mother to her. She is compassionate, thorough, and demonstrates a genuine concern for her patients. She does not sit with her back to you and type things into a computer like so many others have done. She speaks to you on a personal level, thus making you feel like you are something besides just her income. I feel very confident that my eye health is her number one concern. More

Appointments are always quick and efficient. I actually enjoy eye check-ups, so it is great for me. Staff is extremely courteous, and Dr. Kwapiszeski is great. My one complaint is that there is slight pressure in buying contacts and being told they are cheapest in the office. This is not true; I go to Sam's Club and they are way cheaper. I wish they would stop trying to sell me expensive contacts, it is a bit tacky. More
